Care & Fabric

A well-made bra will hold its shape for years if it is washed gently and stored flat. Elastane — the fibre that gives the band its recovery — is what heat and machine agitation destroy first, so almost every care rule comes back to keeping it cool and keeping it still.

Washing

• Hand wash in cool water, no warmer than 30°C, with a mild detergent. Never use bleach or fabric softener.
• Press the water out gently. Do not wring or twist — it deforms the moulded cup permanently.
• If you must machine wash, use a mesh laundry bag on a delicate cycle, fasten the hooks first so they do not snag lace, and never wash with denim or anything with a zip.

Drying

• Reshape the cups by hand, then dry flat in the shade.
• Never tumble dry, and keep bras off a hot radiator or direct sun — both break down elastane and fade saturated colour.
• Hanging a wet bra by its straps stretches them out. Lay it flat instead.

Storage

• Store moulded and push-up cups stacked front to back, never folded inside out. A folded cup keeps the crease.
• Wireless and seamless styles can be folded flat without harm.

Wear

• Rotate between at least two or three bras rather than wearing the same one on consecutive days. Elastic needs about a day to recover its shape.
• Start on the loosest hook when a bra is new and move inward over its life as the band relaxes.

Fabrics

Our smooth and seamless pieces use a nylon-elastane blend with bonded edges. Lace styles use a fine polyamide lace over a lined polyester cup. Cotton-marl styles are a cotton-rich jersey with elastane for stretch. Every style has adjustable straps and a multi-hook back closure.
